Hasbeens & Willbees
Hasbeens & Willbees is an auction house and collaboration platform founded by Kai Kuhne and John Mollett.
Kuhne was a founding member of the fashion group Asfour. The team had shows all over the world and generated worldwide press through their innovative designs and unique community based lifestyle. Kuhne went on to launch his own signature brand, Kai Kuhne, where he continued to impress and collaborate with the most elite clientele and magazines.
John Mollett was a fine arts director at the Jan Krugier Gallery. He represented the most exclusive art on the market, including the largest estate of Picasso. A portion of the legendary collection is to be auctioned at Christies.
In August of 2013, Hasbeens & Willbees opened an outpost restaurant /store in the remote town of Andes in upstate New York. The project was scheduled to last for three months, and an anticipatory event for the hard launch of the greater Hasbeens & Willbees platform. As a result of a vast network and unique vision, the project was covered by W magazine, Purple Magazine, O32c, and Modern Weekly. Within days the space was filled with taste makers eating farm-to-table food and purchasing rare finds that were curated by the team.
The coming auction house is a platform for cross collaborations and the debut of fine new products from around the world, as well as old products that deserve further attention and appreciation.
