The Hudson Project

The Hudson Project annexed the same 800+ acres that hosted Woodstock ’94 for its inaugural three-day music and arts festival in July 2014. The raucous and electrifying event consisted of five stages; four featuring performances by Kendrick Lamar, Bassnectar, Modest Mouse, Action Bronson, Flatbush Zombies, Nightmares on Wax, Jacques Greene and so many more, and a 5th stage, known as the New York Stage, devoted to showcasing local talent.

As the agency for the The Hudson Project to garner the attention of New York City, VOCAL lead pre-event publicity along with concepted and presented the New York Stage, highlighting sets from handpicked NYC-based bands of both established and rising renown. The Stage was heralded as one of the weekend’s most interesting attractions, as well as the only place to soak the great sounds of the NY area with performances by Walking Shapes, Seasick Mama, Brendan Fallis and more. This first-year festival saw upwards of 18,000 visitors per day.
